AN INTRODUCTION
Nithya Yoga has been conceived by Paramahamsa Sri Nithyananda. Nithya Yoga has
come into existence as an offering of gratitude to a great Yogi under
which Nithyananda studied Yoga as a young boy.The Yogis name is Raghupati
Yogi. Being a Yogi of deep wisdom and insight, he recongnised
Nithyananda not as a disciple but as a highly evolved spiritual soul.
It was
not until Nithyananda attained enlightenment at 22 that he realized Raghupati
Yogi was actually a reincarnation of Patanjali (the Father of Yoga) himself.
Nithyananda
says, 'There are two types of scientists. Scientists of the outer world and
scientists of the inner world. Scientists of the outer world are those who
create formulas to reproduce the outer world experiences. Scientists of the
inner world are those who create formulas to reproduce the experiences of the
inner world - in others. Patanjali was one such inner scientist. He created a
formula, 8 yogic practices that would reproduce in others the inner space of
Patanjali himself.
Patanjali's
Ashtanga Yoga was designed to prepare the body and mind of an individual so
that one could receive, sustain and express the energy of enlightenment.
When
Nithyananda was 3 years old, Raghupati Yogi came into Nithyananda's life. He
was a great Yogi with many great skills and powers. He came into Nithyananda's
life for a purpose, with one objective; to help prepare the body and mind of a
mere boy from Tiruvannamalai to receive and hold the tremendous energy of
enlightenment.
